Big Juds in Ashton

This place is great. My family goes every year for our family reunion. They have great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches.

Fried pickles were good, fries were meh, burger unseasoned.

THIS PLACE IS BEYOND AMAZING! The food is the best, I shared the 2 pound big jud special with my fam and it was by far the best burger and fries ive ever had!

Absolute love this place. Best burger joint in the East Idaho region. My favorite burger is there mushroom burger, very juicy and full of flavor. I also love their onion rings! Even their massive burgers they have come out delicious. This is the best comfort food.

Best burgers in Idaho! I've been 3 times in the last 2 weeks and it never fails! The staff is very friendly and the prices are great. My family loves this place. If you're going to Island Park or Yellowstone, this is a must to stop by. I've never done the challenge, but don't think I want to ruin hamburgers for me. The double patty and regular fry will keep you plenty full. The blue cheese is my personal favorite. Enjoy!

The atmosphere of this place is really relaxed, great food, pretty fast service. It is technically attached to a rest stop, so don't expect much in terms of decor or smells. I was hesitant because of the smell if we're being honest, but the food was great- huge servings which should be expected from a place that advertises a 1 pound burger

This restaurant was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! First, the place is dirty: old, stained carpet; bits of paper and trash on the floor; the bathroom was also in need of a good cleaning. This place is attached to a gas station/truckstop...and it looks like it!Second, both of the burgers we orders were WAY OVERDONE; I mean, the point they were crunchy. Because we were in a hurry, we didn't have time to ask for new burgers. As a food safety professional, I will not go here again.

This place is supposed to be just like the original Big Juds in Archer....but it isn't. I ordered a salad and it was twice as small as the one I would normally get at the Big Juds in Archer. The size of the fries was also significantly smaller as well. I would expect the same thing at both joints if the prices are going to be the same.

Absolutely fantastic Hickory Burger!!! Probably the best burger we have tasted. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The service was good as well. The restaurant was clean. Couldn't really ask for anything more. 😊

Hey, you looking for the burger place in the Ashton, Idaho here; you got it! You can order a 1lb and 2lb burger option, fries, and drink. That's honestly a ton of food! I personally order the Hickory (bacon, bbq sauce, onion ring) and Hawaiian (Pineapple, Ham(but I sub out and get bacon) Burger. I also think their sweet potato waffle fries are to die for. You want a burger dive in southeast Idaho, then I would check this place out.

The food is great, hot off the grill, good portions on the fries and onion rings. It is a little spendy and would not be an issue if everything was top notch, but it is not. Service is ok but overall slow, could be better. Cleanliness is another thing all together. Carpet is gross and looks like it gets vacuumed once a week, but has never actually been cleaned. There are stains everywhere and a couple of flies joined us for lunch. The tables were mostly clean but definitely older and worn. The restrooms are disgusting. Urine all over the floors, walls and sinks covered in hard water, soap and mold, no paper towels and they stink. The restrooms alone should have this place shut down. I use to like going here but over the years is has gone down hill. It really needs to be updated and seriously cleaned.

For those of you with a family, an appetite, or a lot of both, this is the place for you. The giant (1 pound burger) is easily shared between 4 adults. FYI, the foot long corn dog is far too much food for a kid. PS: The ice cream is worth the stop by itself. Thick and high quality like unto your local Creamery favorite but likely for less. The Caramel flavor was incredible; I got it in the way up to Yellowstone and I liked it so much I indulged again on the way back past it.

Fresh cut fries are delicious and so are the burgers. I had the swiss and mushroom burger. Friendly service and fabulous food.

The burger was pretty good, the fries were great, the service was good but the place needs a good cleaning. When the salt and pepper shakers are sticky from years of not being cleaned and look like this it makes me want to leave

Great nostalgic burger joint. The French fries a very different, giant Idaho potato fries with soft potato centers. Burgers are delicious and made fresh. Dessert ice cream is very good! Nice table service, staff are friendly. Restaurant is very clean and well kept. Price is reasonable.

Nice place for a stop to refuel, picnic and a short rest. Here is a pizza restaurant and a small shop with snacks and beverages. Coffee is great and service is fine.

Nice Tasting Buffalo Chicken sandwich, Good(Hood) fresh cut fries. Almost forgot my Wonderful waitress Brookell was AWESOME!!! Great place glad I stopped.

This is some great food! Thee real draw however, is the novelty of these hamburgers. They are huge. Also get tots, not fries. We felt like the fires were not that good, but because the tater tots were so great I’m still giving them a 5.

Great place to eat. Fast service, friendly waitress, and a good ol' burger. Excellent place to stop on your trip. Would recommend!

Easily shared the 1LB. Big Jud burger special with 4 people. Delicious! Highly recommend, but come early as they were busy right at 11am when they opened.

The food is delicious and service was great

I have extreme patients and empathy for servers because I know how tough the industry can be. That being said this was hands down one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten. Not only is the place borderline needing to be shut down by food inspectors for cleanliness, but the service was nearly non-existent. To top it off, our daughters kid burger had been forgotten to be cooked with the rest of the order, then it took 20 minutes for them to cook a KIDS burger! We were there well over an hour and a half because of how slow the kitchen is. If you’re traveling to or from Yellowstone/Island Park skip this place and eat before or after you get where you’re going.

Their 1lb burger tastes great and the fries are exceptional just the way I like them. The waitress was very attentive and the food came out swiftly. The dining room could use some updating but was still comfortable and good for larger parties because of all the open space to move tables around. I will be returning next time I am in the area.

The restaurant was trashed and dirty but it didn’t stop us from chowing down on the biggest burger I’ve ever seen. I’ve been before and love it. If it was my first time I’d be hesitant due to the date of the inside. Staff was great tho and the food was delicious. I’d recommend to anyone. And if you think you can handle the challenge you’ll get your meal free

Like yikes. So unorganized trying to get a table. And actual service was nowhere to be found haha.. we asked our waitress FOUR times to correct an order and had to get up each time to hunt down someone to help us (they weren't busy). Charged us $15 extra. When we asked about it she suddenly was busy helping someone else (lucky table, cause she never helped us) and told us to wait til she got back. We've been waiting on this waitress for 2 hours trying to get drinks, burgers, fries and Im pretty sure we'd be waiting another hour so we left after she charged us whatever that $15 was. Seriously unbelievable. And yes, I have spent several years working in fast food and resteraunts, and I seriously hate high maintenance people.. I'm really not a demanding person, but a bare minimum would be nice. Enjoy the $15 tip you gave yourself.

Don’t miss this place if you’re traveling through Ashton. Fantastic fresh handmade burgers and fresh cut fries right off the fields. Love this place!! I miss the old location in the old homestead but the food is still great!

It's got all your truck stop amenities although the pumps for commuter vehicles can get very, very busy around the weekends.

Casual tourists stop on the way in and out of Yellowstone national park. Burgers of every style. In one half of the restaurant and pizza on the other side. The pizza is pre made stick it in the oven. The burgers are fine. Convince store as well.

The food was decent but it took over an hour to get our food. We only had 4 people in our group. Two of which were children under the age of 5.

This is a hole in the wall burger joint. Of course Ashton, ID isn't exactly a metropolis. I really enjoyed the food, the meat on the burgers was delicious and it tasted fresh. The buns were equally as good. The waitress was friendly and fast, the service was topnotch. The restaurant itself is just as you would imagine a hole in the wall type place to be. It wasn't fancy or new, it is older but nice. The cleanliness was fitting and seemed fine to me. I've eaten in newer McDonald's that were dirtier than this place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or passing through Ashton, ID.
